WHITWELL MIDDLE SCHOOL PAPER CLIP PROJECT
A few years ago, the Whitwell Middle School in Tennessee began a project to help students visualize just how many six million is. Their original message to the world is here: http://history1900s.about.com/library/holocaust/blclip.htm
The simple idea that this school put forward grew into a small museum that now serves many schools in the area. You can read more here: http://todaysdeepsouth.blogspot.com/2005/11/paperclip-project.html
What I am trying to do is extend this project in another direction that will still focus on having students understand just how many six million are. The extension also focuses on having a part of the school become a museum for a day. You can read more about what I mean here: PAPERCLIP PROJECT LETTER
